I know lots of people don't make them, but I'm not talking about a random, extravagant, drunk promise to OMG get my pilots licence! Or something else that probably won't happen. Although it that is what you want, go for it...
You can read about my approach to resolutions here and here. I like to keep it real. Realistic. Do able. I like to spend some time thinking about it, and then come up with a plan on how to achieve it.
I'm still thinking about what I want to achieve this year, but so far I have come up with the following unrefined wish list.
Get shit done. Just do it. Power through those business/renovation/project plans. I suspect it will be easier to activate my get-shit-done mode this year, because the littlest BC starts big school. Woot!
Get fitter, and healthier. Eat cleanly, step up exercise a few levels. I don't see myself as a runner, but I have generously been offered a place in a boxing boot camp, so I will get fit AND have a safe place to punch things. I would love to do Tough Mudder Sunshine Coast but I don't know if I'll be tough enough for a 20km run. I'm hanging to do the obstacles, especially the electric shock obstacle. And the mud, of course. Bring it on!
I think the trick to achieving these goals is to look at things differently, turn things on their head, try a different perspective. The definition of stupid is to expect different results from the same behaviour, right? Or something like that...So, what say you? Do you have any goals for 2013? Any resolutions? Will you get your pilots licence? Do you have any advice for me? Can you recommend some fire proof clothing?
